Community Awards 2009

Each year Cavendish Park Community Association (CPCA) presents awards to children attending Grange C. P. School who have been nominated by a parent, grandparent, neighbour or friend for being helpful and community minded. The awards are sponsored by Seaport Freight Services and were presented by Mr Richard Lord and Barry Farr CPCA chair, at morning assembly Friday 3rd July 2009. Each child receives a framed certificate and a voucher.

Level 2 Winners - Great Effort:

1	Paige Payne. Year 4 Paige has been helping collect bottle tops for charity and helping grandma and granddad.

2	Francesca Mann. Year 2. For being the inspiration for the setting up of West End Play, and for all of the help she has given to her mum in its development.

3	Zackery Payne. Year 2. Helped his mum by delivering leaflets and on the cake stall raising money for charity. Tidying and removing rubbish in the garden nursery area. And making Christmas tree decorations for Christ Church Christmas Tree service.

4	Megan Payne. Year 5. Helps her mum delivering leaflets, writing articles for a newsletter and helped with raising money for a disabled young person.

Level 1 Winners - A Great Effort:

1	Alex Henderson. 11 years old. For all the help he gives to his disabled Mum, a disabled neighbour - and his Grandma.

2	Jonathon Henderson. 6 years old. Helps disabled Mum and Gran.

Dylan Doyle. Year 2. For being helpful to his dad, looking out for his younger brother, who is in nursery. Dylan is always cheerful and friendly. For being a good friend to a fellow pupil and being kind and helpful.
